NORTHERN CAPE


 

The Northern Cape's most valuable asset is the mighty Orange River. It lies to the south of the Cape. The Orange River provides a healthy agriculture for the provence. The Northern Cape largly consists of vast plains with outcroppings of haserdous rock.

The Northern Cape's major airport is situated in the capital city of Kimberly. The roads are well networked which enables easy access from many of South Africa's major cities.

The Northern Cape experiences small amounts of rainfall in the winter. The area is characterised by cold and frost in the winter and high temperatures in the summer.

The Provence has several large parks and conservation areas such as the KALAHARI GEMSBOK NATIONAL PARK.
